WKF or otherwise there is a very clear bias towards the Naha-te ryuha for karate kata tournaments. At least that is the way it is here in Okinawa. For some unclear reason, karate tournament judges seem to think that kata of the Naha-te (Goju-ryu etc..) are more impressive to watch.
